Student Union Protest March |
In order
to against National Education Law (Draft), Student Union with its members
marched from Mandalay to Yangon at 20th January, 2015. It started
with 100 of students and some students from the city that they had passed were
joined to this long march and the number of students is going to be increase
Averagely,
the union walks 15 miles per day and 29 among all of them need to cover medical
cares to set their journey forward. Some voluntary services from Yangon and
other cities took care of their health cares. And also, monks from Saffron monk
network are protecting the students from the problem that they were afraid of.

Finally, government had
to agree all 11 demands by the students and the discussion about education law
is started in parliament now. The student union march stops for 10 days as
matriculation students’ exam is drawing nearer.
